I have campaigned for many, many years to leave the EU. I believe that being out of the EU will make the UK stronger and better off.

Since winning the argument in 2016 it is only now that our politicians have finally acted. The deal is not absolutely brilliant but it is enough for us to determine our own destiny without EU interference. The shenanigans of countries like France has been petty and proof that leaving is the best decision our country has made in decades.

11pm tonight is more of a reason to celebrate than the turn of the New Year. 2021 has a great deal of significance in terms of getting to terms with our new way of working as well as beating the dreaded virus that has changed the way we live.
